Once upon a time, I was a slightly nerdy 11 year old girl learning how to cross stitch in my 6th grade home economics class. My first creation was a tiny pillow with a cute little owl on the front (seriously, it was too cute). So I went home, took down all of my family'spictures from the mantle over our fireplace, and propped my little owl up right in the middle. I'm talking dead center, nothing else around, like BAM behold my art.
When my mom got home from work, I expected her to be so thrilled with this unique piece of art that no one else had in their living room except us (lucky her, right?), but no... that was, understandably, not her reaction and my owl got tossed into the closet.
That's ok though- because now, as an adult, I have my OWN mantle and I can put my creations wherever I want! Cross stitch is a true stress reliever for me (must be all the stabbing), and it makes me so happy to stitch, design, create, giggle, and share my art with every slightly nerdy person who would be thrilled to place one of my creations in the dead center of the mantle over their fireplace. I hope you love these as much as I loved creating them! #IDoWhatIWant
